Tuesday 22 August - AWD Arena, Hannover

From Alex:
I´ve been to the Show last night in the AWD Arena and let me tell you, it was amazing! We´ve been waiting for 4 hours to get in, and as they openend the door the running begins. But we were one of the lucky ones to get in the first row section and were very close to the part of the stage where she got out of her glitter ball!
I´ve been to The Drowned world and the Re Invention Tour as well, but I have never been so close to her. Me and a friend just couldn´t believe that this is really Madonna standing 2 meters away.
I very enjoyed the first part, especially Like A Virgin, but the crowd went wild when she played Jump.
There were a lot of discussions in the press about her Live To Tell performance on the cross, but this was such an emotional scene and no one could understand why they made such a mess about it.
Madonna seemed very relaxed and thanked the audience for beeing there to watch her show. It rained the whole day and it was a bit cold but no one cares, everyone seemed happy and we let her know that she was worth it!
One of the highlights was definately the Roller skating Music / Inferno. It was so powerful, we had a really good time and everyone was dancing, singing and screaming. Especially her dancers did such a good job.
When she played Hung Up she asks the fans if they wanted some more and let them sing along 'Time goes by so slowly' with her.
Madonna and her dancers got down under the stage and the big screen asked 'Have you confessed?' Yes we did!
So much more to tell but every scene was brilliant, every part of the show amazing, the videos, the lights, the dancers, the sound and of course Her Majesty herself!
I just let you know, that I will never ever forget this night. Thank you Madonna for beeing in my hometown and making this evening to an unforgetable experience to me!

From Bjoern:
I've been there - Hannover - right in front of the stage. I still can't believe it, but it was really 1st row next to the catwalk, corner to the stage. She was amazing as I expected her to be.
When she sat on the stairs, singing Drowned World she caught my eyes and during Ray Of Light she blinked at me, maybe because I was wearing a shirt with the coverpicture of the Ray Of Light album on it :-)
But the best was - during Let It Will Be, she ran from the front of the catwalk back to the stairs, sat down only one second and realised that I was taking a picture with my mobile (well, actually I was filming), she jumped up, walked towards me and showed me her sexy behind in her famous provocative way. I was going insane....
She was wonderful. The show was unforgettable and I will always remember it. I never expected to come so close to her. I'm still in trance....

From Christian:
I just came back with my boyfriend from the Madonna Concert in Hannover. The show was amazing, so much speed and power, her voice was so full of strength, you could see that people were touched especially by the Live To Tell Crucification Performance, when they realized the background seeing the counting until 12.000.000. Madonna enjoyed herself and the crowd was wild, old and young dancing together.

From Demian:
The Queen was in a fantastic mood, smiling, joking and she spoke German again, like she did in Düsseldorf. She also said 'Danke' for supporting her so much and for coming to the open-air-show, while it was a cold and rainy evening. At least it didn´t rain during the whole show.
40.000 people went wild, her voice and the music sounded perfectly. People loved 'Get Together', 'I Love New York' and of course 'Hung Up' - nobody was fixed at the old songs, every song from COAD did very well.
My personal favorites were 'Isaac' and....yes, 'Paradise (Not For Me)' and the impressing artwork of the Sorry video-interlude.
After all, I still know, what I love her for - intelligent, creative, catchy Pop-Music and this increadible talent to rework the songs and making something even more special of it. Great!

From Enzo:
The concert in Hannover was awesome. It was the first time I saw Confessions live and I was just stunned.
In the beginning it seemed like we'd never getanywhere near the stage because we've arrived at theAWD arena around noon, and people were already waiting for hours. But my two friends and I managed to get asclose to the stage as you could. We were at the railinside the golden cyrcle and that was already morethan I had expected, but the luck we had was evenbigger....
She was supersweet in the show, welcoming us in German 'Wilkommen, meine Damen und Herren!' (Welcome, Ladies and Gentleman!) and also thanking the crowd for comingto the show although it had been raining all day long.
I was already really excited about the songs, I had tried to avoid all the spoilers and especially I didn't want to know the setlist just to make it abigger surprice for me.
So when she did Let It Will Be in the Paperfaces Mix I just went mental. Singing and dancing like a mad man! And while she was strutting down the catwalk she turned around and looked at me! I still get chills thinking about it. I looked into her eyes and she certainly looked at me, coz everybody told me so too. Very very surreal!
Later in Hung Up she also kneeled down front of us to hold the microphone towards us when everybody was almost shouting 'Time goes by so slowly....' It was amazing. I don't think she'll ever remember my face but those two moments, where I know she was looking at me/us just made the whole experience even more perfect than anything I had ever expected of the concert!
Today I have a sore thoat now and everything hurts but it is worth it. I had the biggest blast and I'm so looking forward to seeing her again in Amsterdam, this time from a seat, so I can check out all the stage!
Keep it rockin! And thank you Madonna!

From Holger:
I´ve been to the concert in Hannover and it has been amazing! This was my third Madonna show, after Drowned World and Re-Invention Tour. But this time it was very special to see her in my hometown.
It was raining all day, but when Paul Oakenfold left the stage the sun came out and it stopped raining till the end of the show. Everybody was having fun, singing and jumping all the time.

From Jean-Baptiste:
So yesterday I was in Hannover, in the AWD Arena (but this time with my 13-years-old nephew). Once again, a great show! She missed the beginning of 'Like A Virgin' and laughed looking at Stuart.
Then she thanked us for coming, hoping we weren't too cold, and how lucky we were, it didn't rain (that was a roofless stadium). After 'Let It Will Be', she said 'Did you hear about a prediction of rain tonight? And it didn't happen! This is a miracle! So fuck you the rain!' during her traditionnal speech (she also asked us to repeat 'Fuck you George Bush!').
When she started singing 'Drowned World', she wore a big bomber jacket, and she looked pretty....cool actually!

From Kevin:
The concert was the greatest what I ever in my life saw! On 16.00 we heard Madonna's soundcheck really good. We stand 3 hours to go in the AWD Arena, it was really hard. Madonna's costums are so cute....but in 'Hung Up' I had think 'Oh my god what a ass!'. With 48 years is Madonna the sexiest woman for me!

From Simon:
The show was amazing! I never saw a show like that before in my whole life! As we sat on the floor during the *perfecto* DJ Paul Oakenfold, there was a little bit of rain. But, as the show of Madonna started, the rain was gone and we all see the blue sky!
After the performance of 'Future Lovers' she said 'Willkommen, meine Damen und Herren' (the same as she said in Dusseldorf) and the crowd was soooo happy again!
The crowd on the floor was happy during the whole show! During 'Ray Of Light' we had to jump and give her an applause! Her voice was amazing!
I loved the performance of 'Drowned World' and, of course 'Paradise (Not For Me), the BEST in the show!
In case of the people doesn't speak enough english, she tried to speak German, but it doesn't work anymore (lovely ;) So she makes some jokes about that we don't speak enough English with her!
'Time goes by, so slowly' she said at the end of the show, walking over the catwalk and the stage, and we all have had to sing that with her!
That was soooo great! Thanks for coming to Germany this year! IT WAS GREAAATTTT! Yes, we HAVE confessed!
