Saturday 22 July - American Airlines Arena, Miami

From Brian:
The concert was amazing on Saturday night. In my estimation the best so far. The crowd was just incredible - even better then New York. Gloria Estefan, and her husband and daughter, where at the end of the catwalk.
Last night though she made a mistake and forgot where she was in a song (Let it will be). Then she made a joke out of it and starting singing to the music how she forgot where she was in the song. Afterwards she said she was having technical difficulties in her brain. But after her mistake, then when she went to pick the mic back up after dancing on the floor it had not been turned back on yet. So after saying she was having difficulties she made a snide comment about how it rubs off on others. Was really the biggest mistake I have EVER seen at a Madonna show.

From Daniel:
Let me tell you the vibe in Miami was Awesome! Madonna ruled Miami tonight, she said she lived here a long time ago and she partied, perhaps too much and now she's back to play in Miami! The crowd went wild! Her show started late at 9pm. Gloria Estefan in the house and so was her long term friend Ingrid Caseres. Some locals celebrities as well.
Miami is the perfect place for Confessions. The weather, water and ocean breeze filled the night air! Madonna's has incredible muscle tone, she looks beautiful. Have fun in Europe Madonna! Will miss you here in the States.

From Gabriel:
I was at the 1st show in Miami wich started an hour late, and 25 minutes before showtime the place became an oven, it was really hot in there, but it was worth it.
I was standing right in front of the catwalk and at one point when singing Isaac I was screaming like crazy, she looked at me and smile. This was an unforgettable moment.
Discard the comments about her age, she still haa the baby face and she have a lot of energy to be jumping up and down for 2 hours....Have a good time Europe, is your turn....you'll love it.

From Jorge:
Tonight was my third Madonna concert since 2001 and I have to say it is the one I enjoyed the most. It was very upbeat and energetic for the most part and the crowd was on their feet for most of the show. It was amazing. So many different age groups and races were present as well, it was great.
I did notice a bit more lip synching to pre-recorded vocals than at other shows I have heard clips of online (some of Future Lovers, the Erotica chorus - which I have heard clips of where she sung it live at other shows, the Paradise vocoder, Sorry, etc.), but it did not take away from Madonna giving a great show and the crowd enjoying it.
She did sound great when she did sing though, especially considering what it takes to put on her kind of shows. She was amazing and when she danced, she gave it her all and did a nice job. People cheered a lot when she would dance (Isaac, Erotica, Get Together, La Isla Bonita, etc) so I'm glad she is giving us what we like from her when she can.
We love to see Madonna dance. She spoiled us in past tours, so it's good to see her back to her dancefloor roots. She also gave a hilarious speech before Drowned World about how she used to live in Miami, but has since grown up and moved away, but that she was back to have fun tonight. She also had a funny encounter during this speech with one of her front row bitches who was trying to yell something at her in Spanish. She asked him if he spoke english and when he tried to hand a tshirt to her she responded 'no, gracias.' You had to be there to laugh at it, but it was great.
I also have to say that this was the best vocal performance of Drowned World I have heard from this tour so far. She sang the verses beautifully in a sweet tone and sounded great. I also loved the finale and the whole show left you wanting more. When you do tour again, please return to Miami, Madonna!

From jRb:
This place is perfect for large concerts like this one. It's more a bowl than an oval size stadium. Not a bad seat in the house. I was section 3 stage left. I was in a very excited section of people and they were a blast to talk to and hang with before the show started. The seat was incredible I could see everything, all the trap doors, all the lighting, all three cat-walks, and I could trainspot all the techno gizmos on the production end that I'm all crazy about (love the production side of stuf).
Excitement was building like the rumble of a freight train. Then the floor sections started cheering for what seemed no reason, then I grabbed my binoculars and there was Gloria Estefan and her husband being escorted to the front row center of the main catwalk. I headed down with a group of guys from my section and we got to meet her and shake hands. I didn't have my camera cause I initially thought they would not be allowed. It was a very brief breeze-by however, she was very warm, kind, and looked very good up close.
So, back to our seats. Of course, Madge made her appearance 40 minutes late, but boy when she did the roof was stressing and threatening to blow off everyone was BEYOND READY!
It was 2 hours of the most fun, grand, joyous spectacle I've ever seen live or otherwise and I've been to some shows let me tell ya!
The dancing was unbelievable! Roller skates, monkey bars, gymnastics, street-dancing, krumping, ballet, jazz, tap, it was all in there somewhere and totally worked for each song and the mood she was going for. 70's disco meets the new millennia was the main theme, but there was much more throughout the show.
The production values and technical details blew me away, with props and sets coming up from under the stage and from the ceiling, crew people in black working like insects on little sections of this and that like clock-work, setting, re-setting, removing, stowing props and then disappearing all in a blur.
While your distracted by one thing you look back and everything else has changed or is re-dressed. It's exhausting when you just START to think about all the work and people that are needed to do something like that, and do it 4 nights a week with some back to back nights. WOW! I would give so much to be working on a production like that with all those talented people. That alone was so inspiring to me.
Okay the chick is 48 next month right, WRONG, more like 24. GEEZE SHE CAN MOVE! She looked INCREDIBLE and just didn't stop. Her guitar skills were highlighted for 4 songs, and she's rocking HARD! She takes her lessons very seriously from Monte her guitar player. She's been playing on the last 3 tours and she seems more comfortable and natural at it now.
Her dancers did things that us normal humans just are built for! 'Cloud' Campos at one point spinned like a top on his head as she made twirling motions over his feet as he spun. Monkey bars came down from the ceiling for the song 'Jump' and they were on top, in the middle, hangin out the sides, diving in and out of, jumping 10 feet or more from section to section without any nets, ropes, or barriers between them and a 10 ft drop to the floor onto the> crowd.
At one point two dancers did forward flips off the front of the main catwalk into the aisle and then went up to the top sections of the arena and back getting everyone clapping and moving, like they weren't already!

From KingdomChris:
We went to the Miami concert on Saturday 22nd July at the American Airlines Arena and it was amazing. We were one of the first ones in our seats, around 7.30pm and the a/c was still running. It was probably turned off somewhere around 8pm and pretty soon it was hot and sweaty in there, but no one cared because the show was awesome!
From the moment Madonna appeared out of her disco ball, the entire place was in a state of euphoria. The music was so loud it felt like the entire building was shaking. At one point, she said she used to live in Miami but moved away to grow up - but now she's back to have fun. She said she didn't want to come out tonight because she'd had trouble sleeping, but then so does the city of Miami, but not for the same reasons. The crowd loved that.
Someone in the front row shouted something to her, to which she said, 'What? Do you speak English?' Then a guy took off his tshirt and was going to throw it at her, and she told him, 'You better not throw that at me....I don't want your smelly t-shirt'. Gloria and Emilio Estefan were in the audience, and we saw Ingrid Cesares too. She also dedicated one song to her brother Chris Ciccone who she said was in the audience.
The two hours felt like 10 minutes - it was over so quickly, and left us wanting to keep dancing the whole night. The Disco Inferno/Music mash up was incredible, everyone was going wild dancing and screaming. The show felt like it came to an end very suddenly - I wish there had been an encore, and it would have been nice if she had said goodnight, thanks for coming or something like that. She didn't thank her dancers or band either which was a shame, as they did a fantastic job.
We hope she comes back soon, looking forward to hearing Borderline and Dress You Up on the next tour!

From Roshie:
This was my second Madonna concert and it was amazing. As a member of Icon, I had some amazing seats on the lower level in section 115.
As my friend Naz and I were walking to our seats, we saw Cloud in the arena one section over with his family. He is my favorite dancer and I couldn't believe he was right there.
Fans were taking pictures with him and we decided to go over to section 114. By the time we got there, he had left. But we had a plan! We decided to wait after the show and see if he would come and get his family.
The show was amazing. Madonna's voice was amazing and her energy filled the crowd 10x's over! Hearing Hung Up was the best part of the show. It's my favorite song and seeing her perform that song live was an all time high.
After the show, we stayed around to see if Cloud would return and he did! He was so nice to us as we interupted him talking with his family. He took pictures with us and signed our tickets. He was so genuine and asked us where we were from! We told him how amazing he is and how much we love him and he was very gracious! Meeting Cloud was the icing on the cake!

Sunday 23 July - American Airlines Arena, Miami

From Ariel And Juan:
The show last night was unforgettable! The QUEEN ROCKED THE HOUSE for the second night a the row. I was trying all night to call her attention with my friend a fellow fan aswell until while singing Hung Up FINALLY! SHE POINTED AT US AND SANG 'IM HANGING UP ON YOU! That was mesmerizing we both cried like kids she notice us in the audience, that'sa dream come true! There's no words to describe how amazing Madonna was, we both enjoyed it!

From Cristal:
Second night here and Miami and she rocked! She mentioned how she would love the opportunity to be alone in a room with GW Bush. The things she would say to him! She asked if we would join her given the opportunity. The crowd went wild.

From Crystal:
I was fortunate enough to see the show Saturday night form the balcony and Sunday night from the floor. Madonna has stepped up the dancing and looked amazing! Her quick changes were so quick there was very little time during the show that Madonna was not on stage.
It was such a great moment when she forgot the words to Let It Will Be. She was right in front of my section and was all into the dancing and the song then she paused and said, 'Fuck!' then improvised lyrics with the music about how she forgot the words she was supposed to sing. It was a classic rare moment I will never forget.
I cannot decide what my favorite part of the show is....the intro is unreal....the imagery is incredible and Madonna looks amazing when that disco ball opens. Music also brought down the house, when they showed clips from her career and the longest clip is her singing Holiday on Blonde Ambition the crowd went wild!
Can't wait for the next tour.

From Dan:
Just got in from my second Madonna show in Miami for the Confessions Tour and it was great! Best of show out of any that I have seen hands down all the way! I won front row seats from ICON for the first night. They let us in through the backstage. I saw all of her costume boxes with labels on them like Vegas and Europe and many more places. I also saw Ingrid! I saw Gloria Estefan too!
A Madonna drag queen look-a-like was sitting next to me dressed up from 'Like A Virgin' days. If that drag Queen is reading this 'Hey Girl!' At first the tickets they gave us were for the wrong night. Those tickets were for section 3 row 1 seats 5 and 6 - three seats away from the catwalk.
But when they realized their error, Allison (who gave us the tickets) apologized and told me she like me shirt. My shirt read, 'Just watch me burn' (and I did). As she gave me the new tickets and reminded me that we were her 'Front Row Bitches' and it was our duty to look like we were having the time of our lives and that was not hard to do at all. The new tickets were section 1 row 1 seats 15 and 16 directly next to the catwalk!
There were several times that she unmistakably look at me and spoke to me. During 'Sorry' before she started singing she pointed at me, directly at me and said, 'Do you want it!' And course I scream 'YES!'
Some Italian guy forced his way into the front row and right next me. Before 'DW/SFL' he took off his shirt and tried to give it to Madonna. She said, 'Don’t give me your sweaty shirt! I am serious! Don’t put that on my stage!' He also kept saying 'Bella' to her and she said back to him 'Can you speak English?' It was so funny.
By the end of the show I was soaking wet because it was so hot. I was nervous about going back for the second show, but I figured if Madonna was going to do it....I can do it.
For the second show I was at the end of the catwalk and had a great view of everything and everybody. I saw the screens much better than I could when I was on the front row. Tonight she forgot where to sing part of her song 'Let It Will Be' and sang 'Now I can remember when I am supposed to sing the song' after the song she asked for our forgiveness. Bless her heart - and of course we gave it to her.
She also blamed the hot arena and global warming on George Bush. She said, 'I think global warming has reached this stadium. I think I need to have a talk with Mr Bush. Do you think I should? I am having an orgasm just thinking about it!'
Anyway, the show was simply the best from start to finish both nights and better than other concerts I have seen live even the Drowned World Tour.

From Felix Meow:
Well I was at the show tonight and it was great, she came on about 8:55, the audience went nuts. I didn't leave the show at all so I saw everything.
During Let It Will Be she wore a hat in the middle part of the song and then when she was on the floor right before the just watch me burn part she fucked up on the lyrics and jokingly sang, 'Now I remember the words that I'm supposed to sing'.... and then afterwards she was saying, 'I guess I am having technical difficulties with my brain....and she was like, 'damn it's hot in here'. I almost wanted to scream turn on the AC bitch as a joke.
She seemed really full of energy tonight, it was great and I danced my ass off through basically the entire show.
Then she noticed someone holding a sign and trying to read it and she was like 'What does that sign say?' and then also I think she heard about the Christian protesters because she was like, 'My God the shit people talk about'....the protesters were saying some funny things like, 'Oh Madonna's supposed to be different now and she's giving herself to every Tom Dick and Harry....Close your legs, Madonna....Madonna's on a highway to hell and you're all gonna go there too....it was hysterical.
I had a great time....I had more fun this time then I did at RIT, unfortunately I didn't get to meet any of the fans I know were there....that was the only thing I was disappointed about.

From Fernando:
Both nights at AAA were GENIUS, GENIUS, GENIUS! I had the luxury of sitting in 8th row catwalk aisle and 6th catwalk aisle seats for both nights and basked in her glory. M was BETTER than ever and she was having BLAST doing it! As you have heard, there were some minor 'fuck-ups' like forgetting a verse during LET IT WILL BE or starting to sing it on the wrong note or when the prop for Jump got stuck in mid-air, BUT let’s face, SHE CAN DO NO WRONG!

From Gino:
I got lucky to see Madonna Confessions Tour twice, both shows were amazing, and very dancedable, fans did not have a chance to sit down, it was a Miami party to honor her for her music and career, but most of us for us, her fans.
My favorite songs were, Future Lovers, Jump, Music Inferno, Lucky Star and Hung up, but I really cried when she sang Drowned World, because it represents part of my life, fans were so crazy for her that everyone were singing every song from the beginning till the end.
Madonna fans were buying goodies like crazy, I was very fortunate to get most of the items for my private collections, so fans grab your Madonna goodies while she is here because once she is gone, you will not see those items again.
I am just gotta tell you EUROPE, BE READY FOR MADONNA'S TOUR, what are you going to see and experience from our MADJESTY is going to be the TOUR OF THE YEAR, ONE OF THE BEST.
I have seen Madonna previous tours, (Drowned World and Reinvention,) and i thought that she will never make another tour like those two and guess what, I was very wrong, MADONNA HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
So I had confessed! Have you?

From Leonardo:
I just returned to Spain after two Madonna shows at AAA, it was awsome! The best of her last three tours! My favorite interpretation was 'Let It Will Be' and the campaign against....you know who....with a remixed interpretation of 'Sorry' and I can't ignore the fantastic disco version of 'Music', everyone get up on their feet! I'm very satisfied with this long travel! I would do it again again and again! Viva Madonna!

From Luis:
It was my first Madonna concert and I still cannot believe I actually saw her. It was simply awesome! She interacted a lot with the audience and felt very relaxed and easy-going. I was a bit frustrated since there were so many things to see: her, the dancers, the visuals (which are great). This concert is worth seeing at least twice. The entrance was just mind-blowing. She exceeded herself....again! She showed why she's the queen and that she's still at the top of her game.

From maboi76:
I went to Sunday's Miami show. It was a wonderful show. Though I did prefer the Re-Invention show a lot better. She was very anti Bush during the show. During 'I Love New York' after she says 'Just go to Texas, that's where they golf' she said 'George Bush country'.
During one song (I can't remember which one, I was too excited) when she is on the ground gyrating she put down her mic. Well she kicked the mic off of the stage. She went to grab for it and it was gone, but a techie was on the side with a mic for her.
When she took a break and was sitting on the steps, she put her hand out and a techie put a bottle of water in her hand. She did make a point to say that it was way too hot in there (didn't she ask to turn the ac off? hhehe).
Overall it was a great show. I can't wait to see the next tour.
The night before I went to the party at The Firth. It was fabulous. We had a private table next to the club promoters and a few of her dancers showed up. It was another fabulous night. They gave out Madonna cds, played I'm Going To Tell You A Secret and played a lot of Madonna songs. Fabulous!

From Markus:
Oh my God....What a show! I've had the pleasure of seeing Madonna 9 times in concert, but this tour was, by far, the best. My seat was next to the end of the catwalk. I could actually touch the stage. Madonna must have made direct eye contact with me about a dozen times thru the night, even one time she pointed right at me....I almost passed out....not only from sheer excitement but also from the intense heat.
During 'Let It Will Be', not only did she forget the lyrics, but she also accidentally kicked her microphone off the stage, nearly hitting me! One of her staff quickly got her another microphone which wasn't on at first, but she quickly realized, turning it on. She didn't seem to get frustrated or anything, she was actually laughing about it. Madonna really seemed to be enjoying herself thruout the night.
That night was a once in a lifetime experience and I will 'Cherish' it forever!

From Martin:
I just got home from the concert and I couldn't go to bed without letting you know how amazing Madonna was tonight.
The Queen turned it up for her second night at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. She was enjoying herself quite a bit as she appeared from within the crystal ball during 'Future Lovers' and was smiling a lot during 'Get Together.'
During 'I Love New York,' she pointed toward the people in section 3 on the floor right after singing about L.A. being for people who sleep and then said, 'but not you.'
Toward the end of 'Let It Will Be' I think her mic pack came undone a bit because she seemed to get distracted and forgot the lyrics. While she was out in the middle of the arena she sang something along the lines of, 'Now I can tell you / that I'm supposed to sing this song.'
Then, when she was done, she sat on the steps on the main stage and said it was 'hot in here....it feels like global warming has caught up with us....maybe I should have a chat with Mr. Bush about it.'
Oh, cut to me - forgetting that she started that bit by saying she was indeed having some technical difficulties, which kind of sort of affected her brain (and Stuart or someone gave her some punchline music in the same way he did in 'I'm Going to Tell You a Secret') and seemed to have affected her crew as well (followed by more punchline music). Then she talked about Bush, which was kind of cute and funny.
My favorite number, I think, was 'Drowned World/Substitute for Love.' I think it was a beautiful showcase of her voice.
'Ray of Light' and 'Music Inferno' were definitely the show-stopping numbers of the night, especially 'Music Inferno', which the audience couldn't get enough of.
I'm sure that tomorrow I will be clearer on the beyond amazing night I just had, but I wanted to let you know Madonna rocked it in Miami - so much so she rocked the elements, it seemed (as we made our way outside the first thing we saw and heard was thunderous lightning).
Oh, and as far as celebrity sightings, blogger Perez Hilton was there - does that count as a celebrity sighting?
Enjoy Her Madgesty as she makes her way toward Europe!

From Randy:
Okay guys, I'm typing this review from the Ft. Lauderdale airport, so I can keep everything that happened last night fresh in my mind. First off, the show was Great, she let us have it!
There were a few technical problems in Madonna's brain, as she told us, after singing Let It Will Be, during which she messed up on the lyrics, and just paused, and said F*ck! She messed up twice during this song, very cute and she said, 'Now I can see as I'm trying to finish up this song!' Very cute, she even asked if we all forgave her for messing up, we said, 'YES!'
There was no problems like the first night in Miami during Jump with the jungle gym bars coming down, it went off well tonight, thank God!
The crowd was great, even Madonna was pleased this night with everyone. Of course no AC in the arena, so on the floor where I was it was really hot, I was sweating like a you know what in church!
The show started right before 9PM, late again, but I had expected this, being my 5th time over all seeing Madonna. At one point before a song, she even asked, 'What does that sign say? I need my glasses.'
She mentioned how hot it was in the arena, and she thinks that global warming has started here in Miami! She also said she needs to have a word with George about it. She then asked us, 'Who wants to come with me to the White House for that? Can you imagine me and George talking? I'm just getting an orgasm thinking about what I would tell him!' So very funny of her to say all that!
She even redeemed the right side of the floor during Hung Up, telling them very good as well. I loved this show, and I am glad I finally got to see her this year. She put on a great show, you won't want to miss it if you live in Europe! Very well worth the money.
A few bad things to say about the show:
The floor male ushers where just horrible! The were super tight on security in Miami, no going to the bars or comming up to take pictures like my friends in LA, Chicago, and New York had just done weeks before on this tour. The ushers were even so bitchy about not letting anyone get close even after Hung Up was done to get a golden balloon.
Overall a great show, she let me have it!

From Ryan:
It was my first concert ever! I was spoiled by Madonna. As a 19 year old fan of Madonna, I was blown away. I love how she has such a great sense of humor about herself. During 'Let It Will Be' she kind of forgot one verse, and yelled out 'Fuck', it was so funny because she was laughing and we were laughing at it and then she started to sing to the song 'I can't believe I forgot the words to this song'. Later she asked us if we forgave her and we did of course.
I was in a sitting down section close to the stage but I was standing the whole time. I danced to every song, and when It reached to 'Hung Up' I was dancing my ass off. Truly a experience I will never forget.

From Tyler:
The audience was met by a few protesters who claimed that we would burn in hell for going to a Madonna concert. But hey, if she goes I go.
After Sorry, Madonna said something of the lines of 'I don’t have anything against men, just stupidity.'
While doing Let It Will Be, she started to sing a verse to early and yelled 'Fuc!' She continued the next verse with, 'Now I'm supposed to remember the words to end this song!' But it was so cute! After the song, she asked the audience for forgiveness and continued, 'We had a little bit of technical difficulties....in my HEAD.' She added, though jokingly, how her band couldn’t keep up with cues either.
She mentioned how hot it was in there and said Global Warming was in the arena. She also brought up how she’d like to have a word with George W. Bush and said 'Can you imagine what me and the Bush man would be talking about? I'm just getting an orgasm thinking about what I would tell him!' The audience loved it.
