Wednesday 21 June - Bell Centre, Montreal

From Chris:
My favorite line in the show was 'Alright montreal, you know I have some Canadian blood in me. What's more exciting? Me, or the Grand-Prix?' and after more cheering than I've ever heard at any Madonna show....at any show for that matter....she said, 'good answer....' and laughed her heart out.

From Dino:
When Madonna sat down for her Drowned World set she asked the audience what was more important, the Grand Prix or her. The crowd went completely wild for her! Once the temperature cooled down with the noise, she asked if we liked her French accent, because she is part French-Canadian as well! If she was looking to say something to erupt a crowd in Montreal, it worked!
She was very open to the people on the catwalk, she touched our hands, smiled and winked at us! Even her dancers were interacting with the crowd! And it's good to see that she has a great sense of humour. For Hung Up when she was getting the crowd to sing with her, she put the mic in my face and chuckled at my level of singing (which is not very good!) Absolutely amazing to have such an Icon to be so open to her audience!
I can't wait to see her again!

From Jake:
What an amazing show Madonna puts on. The stage is awesome. She asked us what was more hot: her show or the Montreal Grand Prix? The crowd went wild. She got her answer! Thanks Madonna.

From Jean:
It was my third time meeting with the Queen. I had the chance to see 'The Girlie Show' in 1993 (Montreal) and 'The Re-invention' 2004 (New York). The build up for the 'Confessions Tour' was incredible. We had great seats at the right side of the stage. But from our point of view, there was NO screen with the live capture. Yes, you MUST be in the middle sections to enjoy the whole show. From our point of view, we didn't see all the lights effects behing her.
The entrance is really impressive even if we knew she was coming down in a mirror ball. The first 2 songs, she had huge problems with the sounds cause she was looking and made gesture to Stuart. Talking of him, he seemed sooooooo bored. You know what? Madonna didn't seem to have fun either. Like it took 'Disco Inferno' to get into it. The crowd was probably too stimulated by all the things to see and was watching the show like you watch the 'Cirque du Soleil'. You don't get up at a Cirque show to applause and dance. PLEASE PEOPLE: If you have the chance to be on the main floor, express yourself!
People only really danced during 'I Love New York, Ray Of light', two of the best performances of the show: Madonna on the main stage, with a guitar and a great lights conception. Pure pop-rock delight. The only thing missing and I know that Madonna wanted to focus on her new album (that I love) but during the 'Disco' phase, proclaiming herself 'Dancing Queen', she could have made a 10 minutes medley of her biggest hits like 'Holiday, Vogue, Express Yourself....' in a disco-dance-trance beat. Only that would make such a difference.
She said an original quote: 'Don't you know that I have french-canadian blood?' Of course, we knew the answer. She also asked: 'What do you choose, the Grand Prix or me?' As you may know, it is the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montreal this weekend.
The show is so tight, there is NO place for spontaneous moments. This is always the bad side of a Madonna show. Not enough interactions with the crowd and a so-so right usage of the stage. She came in the right wing only 2 times and for few seconds, looking at the floor, not even us.
There is another show going on and it's from her dancers. They are ALL incredibles! 'JUMP' is so full of energy!
HITS: Sorry, Ray Of light, I Love New York, Music, Live To Tell, the dancers, most of the lights tricks.
MISSES: Paradise Not For Me, Erotica, not enough smiles and connection with people, no screen on the sides, a short medley of her biggest dance hits.
CONFESSIONS show is about a star who doesn't want to fade out but behind all the glitters and the lights, I was hoping to get more touched and appeal.

From Marco D:
Last night was the 4th time I saw Madonna live in concert and it was definitely a very special night. The crowed was so alive and on fire. Much more then at the shows I saw in New-York in 2004 and 2001. I was sitting way up in one of the last rows and everybody was up on their feet and dancing the whole time.
She addressed the crowed a few times and even spoke french at the beginning of Jump! 'Le spectacle commence' she said. She also said it was nice to be back in Montreal after 13 years and asked if she was more exciting then the grand prix.
My favorite part is when she said: 'You guys know I had a French Canadian mother right?' That was so sweet to hear.
You know Madonna is sounding good when she hits every note of Ray Of Light on key! Her voice was the best I have ever heard! I really enjoyed Ray Of Light, Music and all 3 ballads: Live To Tell, Drowned World and Paradise Not For Me. The Sorry interlude was also very cool and I almost had an orgasm when she sang I Feel Love.
My only complaint: 300$ tickets + 70$ t-shirts + 30$ after party = way to much!
Madonna la Reine De La Pop pour toujours!

From Rocky:
I absolutely loved the show and I had an amazing view! It went by so fast I feel like it only lasted 30 minutes or something.
Madonna spoke to us a little bit in french. She asked us if we liked her french accent and she said she has French Canadian blood and we all cheered. She asked the audience who's more exciting, either her or The Grand Prix. Obviously we said she was more exciting!

From Sébastien:
The show was totally awesome, we havent seen Madonna for 13 years now in Montreal! The crowd was standing up and dancing for the whole show.
During the show she stopped and began to speak in French about her Mother being a French-Canadian and about the Formula 1 and ask the crowd in French 'Aimer vous mieux moi que le grand-prix? Translation: Do you prefer me to the F1 event. Of course the answer was YEAH! And another hot part was when she was singing I Love New York and said YOU SUCK GEORGE BUSH, the crowd was on fire! Everyone was screaming to agree with her.

Thursday 22 June - Bell Centre, Montreal

From Alain:
Madonna gave one of the best show ever seen on June 22 2006 in Montreal. She felt very welcome and told us that she loved Montreal, and that she had Quebec origin.
At one point in the show she asked if we wanted her to sing one more song, the fans said yes of course then she asked do you want me to put on another show during her tour, of course same thing we said yes and then said, OK would you like me to live in Montreal, we said yes she started to laugh and said we'll see. It was the best show I've ever seen, she gave all she had!

From Allan:
I didn’t think anything could have topped her show 2 years ago in Toronto, but tonight sure did! Madonna chose Montreal this time over Toronto and the crowd did not disappoint. Madonna was non stop from start to finish with the crowd following her every move by stepping up to the energy level and by getting louder as the night progressed. Lyric by lyric, note by note, the crowd went toe-to-toe with Madonna, which did not go unnoticed as she belted out 'do you want me to move here'.
I sat first row in front of the platform to her right, which probably were the best seats in the house as she would literally come and look us right in the eyes, wink and kiss us. She was less then a foot away, with no obstructions or fences. You could not get any closer or any better. This is far better than front row. The highlight was most certainly 'Like A Virgin', when she was on a saddle attached to a pole about 12” from our seats on this platform. The pole would go up and down and she would be doing a stripper routine by humping this pole while all along making eye contact with us. IT WAS PHENOMENAL!
Madonna did not disappoint, nor did the crowd....

From Chris:
This show was even better than the 1st!
She talked to us more and asked 'Would you like it if I moved here?' Then she very coyly said 'just kidding' with her patented Madonna Bitch Face. She also said 'You've made me feel very welcome here.'

From Marco1:
First things first, to all the ones who have not seen this show, PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR A CONCERT SPECTACLE OF OUR GENERATION!
Having been now to my third Madonna concert in the new millenium, each show is different and amazing. I have been to the DWT and to the Re-Invention tour, and now to the Confessions Tour. I find each tour is perfect in its own way, so I wont even try to compare her previous shows to this one, as I find you cannot compare her tours to one another.
It all started with a traffic jam in Montreal. Having arrived at our destination in Montreal hours before the concert, we started to leave and head to the concert at around 6pm. Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic for over 1.5 hours, trying to leave Laval and heading into downtown Montreal. The parking was a bit of an issue, but luckily we found a spot at around 8:30pm. As we entered the venue, people everywhere were energized and excited. Alot of people were dressed to the nines, and some of course were there dressed up as the Queen herself. It was amazing seeing all the people.
Montreal was a great host to the tour, Montreal was in Madonna Fever.
As I was paying for my merchandise, which I was almost overcharged for, I heard the first song slowly being introduced, I was anxious to get to my seat, which was luckily located close to the where I bought the merchandise. We arrived at our seats as Madonna exited the Disco Ball.
The show started off in HIGH ENERGY and it did not stop for 2 hours.
The whole audience sang along to all new and old hits, including all her new tracks from her Confessions On A Dance Floor album. It suprised me how many people knew the lyrics to all her new songs, even though they were not commercially released. Her Get Together number was really alot of fun. Like A Virgin was amazing. Live To Tell was beautifully done, and I felt alot of emotion from that song, which I am sure Madonna was trying to get across. I curse all those writers and critics who were trashing this performance, and for not revealing the truth about the message of this specific performance.
Jump, Sorry, I Love New York, Let It Will Be, Like It Or Not, Erotica/You Thrill Me, Music, and Ray Of Light were amazing performances. Madonna's voice was amazing for the whole night. Her dancing and her dancers were gracing the stage with perfection. Paradise and Drowned World gave her major thumps up.
During Hung Up, she got the whole crowd screaming with her, 'Time Goes By So Slowly' for over 3 minutes, I have never seen a crowd stay on Key for so long, it would have woken up the dead, thats how loud this crowd was. As predicted this crowd was INSANE and loud!
During her interaction with the audience, and after her suggestion of moving to Montreal, as the crowd went silent, I yelled 'I Love You' from the top of my lungs, and Madonna replied 'Thank You'. This felt amazing :)
This show will be a definate high point in my life. I wish all of you who have not seen this show, the best time of your life, when she comes to a city near YOU! Stand up, cheer LOUD and Proud, and enjoy the greatest show on earth. It will be the fastest and most exciting 2 hours of your life, but it will be worth every penny you paid for, even if you had to pay the EBay prices. I Have No Regrets!

From Valérie:
WHAT A GREAT SHOW! Madonna is so gorgeous!
I went to both show but the second one was so much better! Madonna was sexier than ever, her voice was perfect, her dancing moves too, the stage, the audience! WHOA!
I went to both shows with my mother...we paid 2 400$ + 450$ of t-shirts, poster, program etc.
After the show, CKOI (the biggest radio in Montreal) saw one of the dancers walking in the street and the dancer told them Montreal was the best audience since the beginning of the tour. It seems like Madonna just didn't believe how much love we gave to her the two days! The dancer was really nice and he said Montreal ROCKS!
I had an eye contact with Madonna, she even smiled at me when I screamed to her: 'ICI! MADONNA REGARDE MOI!' (Here Madonna! Look at me!) She understood me....I guess LOL and while she was singing LET IT WILL BE she was so near that her sweat dropped on us! It felt almost like an orgasm :-P LOL
At one time at the show, of the dancer was just in front of me and I told him: 'You are beautiful!' And he send me a kiss and a blink of eye! It was crazy!
There's no word to express how people felt yesterday in Montreal....I've cried all night long. It was the best time of my life. I saw her Re-invention in Toronto but....CONFESSIONS TOUR in Montreal was so much special. We felt all the love of the fans everywhere....Well! SHE IS SOOO....sooo....MADONNA!
