Thursday 04 December - Estadio River, Buenos Aires

From Fany:
Amazing and perfect night. Madonna hizo vibrar Buenos Aires! After singing You Must Love Me, she sang Don't Cry For Me Argentina for all her Argentinian fans. The request song was Like A Virgin!

Frim Ian:
The first of 4 shows in Buenos Aires was just AMAZING.
Since the beginning, right after hit the stage on her throne, you could see a bright smile on her face, she was enjoying the night! 'HOOOLAAA BUENOS AIRESSS!' She yelled.
She was truly having a big time last night.
We got a lot of smiles, grabbing hands with the guys at first row (a wtf moment) and very communicative with the audience, it was like she tried to make sure we were enjoying the show just like she was.
A soft breeze, blew on her hair all night, it was surreal, she looked like an angel.
We got a big THANK YOU BUENOS AIRES, GOOD NIGHT! At the end of GITM (another wtf moment, due to all the bitchiness around the fact she never says good night).
THE HIGHLIGHT - DONīT CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA: It was at the end of YMLM, the back video turned black and she smiled while the audience was still cheering for her YMLM performance. Then acapella she started 'it wont be easy....' People died.
During the chorus, she requested a sing-along and all the screens (not only the circular one, but all of them!) showed the Argentinian flag.
After finishing a second chorus, the chord arrengtment started a DCFM melody and the screens went back to the end of YMLM video....The end....
We were all crying like little grrls....So powerful.
REQUEST SONG - LIKE A VIRGIN She sang the whole song! the crowd went nuts!
An amazing, memorable, powerful show. A night Madonna and 70,000 fans who had waited 15 years to see her again, will never forget.

Friday 05 December - Estadio River, Buenos Aires

From Fany:
An incredible night (like the first one) Madonna sang Dont Cry For Me Argentina again for her fans (after singing You Must Love Me). Fantastic moment of the show. The request song was Express Yourself (the first night was Like A Virgin).

From Iv:
Such a thrilling show, with a lot more energy than the first one. The audience was really euphoric. A beautiful party.
During the request section, a 'young lady' as Madonna said, chose Express Yourself which she sang almost completely.

From Pablo:
Hey there, my name is Pablo from Buenos Aires and I was about 5 mts away from Madonna on Friday's show! First let me tell you the place was SOLD OUT, let's remember the River Plate Stadium is one of the biggests stadiums in the world with a capacity of almost 70,000 people. She sold out all 4 shows, so basically Argentina alone represents half of the people that saw her in all her US dates. Impressive. The crowd was very diverse, from celebrities to young kinds, couples, 30/40/50yo group of 'girlfriends', everything.
For me the highlights were apart from the opening that serioiusly the whole place was NUTS, in 'You Must Love Me' we barely let her sing the song, the whole place was shouting and clapping and she was so emotional wich made us even MORE enthusiastic and suddenly the Argentinian flag appeared on the screens and on the circular screen that is at the end of the stage and there the whole place just collapsed! Bottomline, Madonna ended up crying through both songs! She was so emotional! And she sang her ass offf!
And then, on 'Like A Prayer' everybody in the house started jumping singing the song so loud it was just so good, goosebumps. Madonna was clearly happy and she kept saying 'You're making me happy!' and then, at the middle of the show she said the same thing she said on her last visit here 15 years ago with the Girlie Show 'SOY MUY CALIENTE!'. Serioulsy, the best show I've been in my life and everyone I know who likes or hates Madonna went to the show cause simply the whole city was there and everybody was blown away.
I know friends who went with no expectation and are now watching the 3rd show.
Open letter to Madonna:
Madonna,
Thank you for letting us, your Argentinian fans, forget about the complicated moment of our Country and for 2 hours not only forget about the world and enjoy one of the best shows ever made, but also you gave us all a lesson to be learn. We are what we choose to be. And you choose to be the best. And You are. Thank you.

Sunday 07 December - Estadio River, Buenos Aires

From Belo:
I attended all the shows in River. She was amazing! I can still feel her energy.

From Diego:
My name is Diego. I am Argentinian and I have been to the four Madonna concerts here in Buenos Aires. I couldnīt miss any of the shows. The first date was on Thursday 4th. After the putting off of the first concert, the atmosphere was strange. Many people complaining since they had come from very far away to witness the show, apart from the fact that we havenīt seen her live for almost 16 years! So people were nervous, excited and anxious! A lot of feelings were mixed. But when Madonna appeared on stage, everything was forgotten. She was nervous too.
She could connect with the audience after 'You Must Love Me', when people were raving and going frantic. Since that moment on, everything was just perfect. People couldnīt believe Madonna was in Argentina.
On Friday 5th, it was a different story. Madonna was more confident and people were more relaxed. The Old School section was just amazing. The beginning of 'Heartbeat' was an explosion and when she started 'Sheīs Not Me' she said 'Don`t fuck with me!' The lesbian kiss was breathtaking. At the beginning of 'Miles Away' she said: 'Cīmon Argentina MAKE ME HAPPY!' She sang 'You Must Love Me' and 'Donīt Cry For Me Argentina' and we all started crying. Tears were rolling down my face. I couldnīt believe my ears. Her voice was incredible, she showed everyone she is a great singer.
We had a day off on Saturday, but the party continued on Sunday 7th. The energy was more intense in the stadium. After Okenfold played, an assistant appeared on stage and told the audience that the show was going to be recorded for the official DVD. The crowd was shocked and started screaming more. It is not true that people were enthusiastic because of this announcement. We were clapping hands and having a good time before it. Madonna appeared on stage and she was brilliant from the beginning and everybody was raving and jumping. She also seemed to be having a good time.
She forgot the lyrics to 'Miles Away' but she just smiled and went on, we didnīt care! All the segments were perfect but people went mad with the Gipsy Section. 'Spanish Lesson', 'La Isla Bonita' were the highlights.
But the climax was on Monday 8th. I didnīt have a ticket for that date but I went to the stadium anyways thinking I would get a ticket but I couldnīt. Security told me maybe they would let me in but time passed and I was still outside. Fortunately a guy with his girlfriend offered me their only ticket and I rushed into the stadium to celebrate the last concert!
This was an special day not only because it was the last date but because a thunderstorm was threatening Buenos Aires. In fact, it started raining minutes before the show started, but people didnīt bother to get wet, screaming 'WE ARE NOT LEAVING! CīMON MADONNA PLAY!' The stadium was crowded out and the rain didnīt seem to stop, but Madonna appeared on stage anyways. It was amazing.
Remember the Iīm-going-to-tell-you-a-secret scene where she asks God to delay the rain? Well, she must have been praying again because all of a sudden the clouds disappeared, and when she finished the Pimp Section, an almost full moon appeared in the sky. It was a Madonna miracle. I will never forget this moment! No doubt God is on her side!
She was so emotional and so full of energy throughout the show that all the people couldnīt help dancing and waving and clapping every single song. It was a collective madness. 'This song is dedicated for you, Buenos Aires!' she yelled in 'Miles Away' again forgetting the lyrics.
The audience supported her during all the show and the energy was so intense that in a moment she just surrendered (I canīt remember which song she was singing) she just laid on the floor looking into the sky (the full moon in the middle) with a sincere beaming smile on her face that I have never seen before and said on the verge of tears: 'Thank you Argentina for so much love!' It was the real Madonna. Thereīs no need to pretend here in Argentina, Madonna. We love you!
When she finished 'Devil Wouldnīt....' she had to bring herself to the acting of the song because the clapping and ovation was so strong that she almost got distracted by it. When she sang 'You Must Love Me' and 'Donīt Cry For Me Argentina', people didnīt let her finish the lines because they were all clapping, screaming, crying. Madonna just looked at the guitar players beside her to check if this was real or not. We were all overwhelmed, including her.
The rave section was just pure madness. The Stadium became a dancefloor proper! Everybody jumping, dancing even the old people. It was a real celebration! During the Request section, people didnīt let her speak. We were screaming MADONNA; MADONNA! She had to make a great effort no to go out of the script (Script because it was all arranged: the same boy asked Like A Virgin in three of the shows! It doesnīt matter, Madonna) Then HUNG UP and GIVE IT TO ME and people went out of their minds.
She said: 'C'MON MOTHERFUCKERS! Many times. Fortunately, Madonna thanked and greeted at the end of every show, some thing she doesnīt do in all the dates.
Thereīs always the evil tongues and detractors saying that the show was a flop and that people were leaving River Plate Stadium even before the show finishes, but that itīs not true. I have been there and people remained to the very end and all of us came out extremely happy and satisfied. Buenos Aires had a real Madonna party. Thank you Madonna. We love you and hope to see you again. You promised it on stage!
Keep doing music and make us happy!

Monday 08 December - Estadio River, Buenos Aires

From dAnielitro:
I just got home from last night show in Buenos Aires, the last one, I started with a 30min delay beacuse of the rain. The had to dry the floor and then the show started when it was still raining, but at the 5th song I believe it stoped. The show was amazing. I also went to see her on the 4th.

From Juanjo And Fredy:
Let us tell you, the show was AMAZING, from the begining till the end. Madonnaīs voice was in the best shape. When she screems 'CAUSE SHE DONīT HAVE WHATīS OURS' she really really screams fiercelly, with anger. HEARTBEAT is a real highliight from the show. DEVIL WOULDNīT RECOGNIZE YOU was breathtaking, she sings it beautifully.
All the show you could feel the energy that she had. Between RAY OF LIGHT and HUNG UP, She asked if were going to wait another 13 years to see her again, the crowd went absolutely crazy screaming a BIG NOOOO! A moment that was very emotional till tears was when the crowd started singing Madonnaīs name really out loud, she let us sing like 3 minutes just her name. And when it stopped she said that it was very emotional for her to hear us singing her motherīs name. The crowd was like AAAAAHHHHHHH (like when you see a little and beautiful baby, jejeje)....
THE EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES.

From Martin:
The only bad thing of yesterday was the climate. Yesterday the climate was cloudy the whole day. But when Paul Oakenfold offered his show he began to heat the atmosphere motivating to that the public celebrated for a last time. After Oakenfold concluded his performance (he began at 20hs o'clock and lasted exactly one hour), it began to cloud over more and more.
At 21:30 (fifteen minutes before the concert of Madonna began) it began to rain strongly, what caused a climate of tension among people when seeing that the show didn't begin. Minutes before that, a voice through the speakers announced that the concert would be recorded for the future DVD of the tour.
The rain continued and people began to cover themselves. The 21:45 and the concert didn't begin, people get empatient. Up of the stage a concerned Chris Lamb, Madonna's producer, announced concerned the situation. The show was about to be cancelled.
At 22hs o'clock some people began to dry the stage that was wet because of the rain. Minutes later the lights of the stadium faded and the show finally began. Madonna came out to the stage, but to the moment to sing 'Beat Goes On', she was worried for that the stage was wet because of the rain. But the miracle happened during 'Human Nature': the rain ceased, and the concert continues without problems and in a climate of total fun.
Again Madonna interpreted 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina', and the selected song during the Request Section was again 'Like A Virgin.' Madonna was surrended to her audience, she enjoyed much of the concert, mainly starting from the second act, because the rain had stopped to be an inconvenience.
The hottest moments in the concert were 'Candy Shop', 'Vogue', 'Into The Groove', 'Heartbeat', 'Music', 'Devil Wouldn't Recognize You', 'Miles Away', 'La Isla Bonita', and obviously 'You Must Love Me' and 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' (my mom and I cry a lot during that song).
For the end, the moments more celebrated by the audience they were 'Like A Prayer' (where people became mad of emotion), 'Ray Of Light', 'Hung Up' and 'Give It 2 Me' where Madonna descend toward the Golden Circle.
The show ended with 'Game Over', and people began to abandon the stadium. Once again Madonna demonstrated that she is the real Queen of Pop. And hopefully soon Argentina can enjoy to have to her in concert. It was the most important moment in my life.
