Saturday 29 November - Foro Sol, Mexico City

From Armando:
She came in a white helicopter was very friendly and sarcastic and on the dedication part a fan called Antonio requested her to sing Cherish, and she said Cherish? that's too old, fuck that, so fuck you! It was really funny she was obviously being silly.
I think she liked Mexico at the end she said see you on the next tour, hopefully she will come.

From Chris:
Well, I don't wanna bore you with a song by song review, I rather just give you some tiny details about what happened during the 2 hour show. First of all, it was totally SOLD OUT, not one single empty seat and in the VIP section you could see many Mexican actors and singers in the crowd, all of them having a blast just like the rest of the fans.
I came to the Foro Sol (the venue) around 4:30pm with my bff and my Mother, we got the chance to hear Madonna doing her soundcheck, she did 'Miles Away', 'You Must Love Me', 'Music', 'Heartbeat', 'She's Not Me' and 'Into The Groove'.
Inside, before the show started I got the chance to take a few pictures with the dancers, I think it was Antboogie and one of the Tallagea Brothers, they were really cool.
Now, during 'Spanish Lesson' Madonna almost fall on stage! It was really quick but you could see her trip while she was down the steps on her way to the catwalk, it was kinda scary because her face showed some surprise, I don't know if she was nervous or something.
She interacted with the crowd several times, she said something around these lines: 'It's been a long time since I came to Mexico, so let's make a big deal! I can't think of a better place to start the tour in South America, I just wanna say 'gracias'.'
The requested song of the night was 'Sorry', but before that another guy asked for 'Deeper And Deeper' but Madonna dismissed saying 'that one is difficult (too complicated) and went with another fan, what a bummer, I really wanted her to sing the original request.
Anyways, overall it was a magical night, one sure to be remembered by me, so far I've seen Re-Invention and Confessions Tour abroad, but the feeling of having her in your own country can't be compared to anything!

From Fernando:
Saturday night was PERFECTION and the crowd was more vibrant and excited than any show I have been too so far for the Sticky & Sweet Tour.
Madonna was very happy and interacted with the crowd alot! She had told them it has been a long time since she has been to Mexico and she was very happy to be here!
It is MADONNA MANIA here in Mexico City!

From Gabo:
Madonna permormed twice in Foro Sol the same venue for the Girlie Show 15 years ago, with 57,000 viewers per concert. Madonna Amazed the Mexican audience from the beginning of the show.
Saturday Nov, 29th concert was almost perfect! Warm weather, everybody was excited. Madonna looked beautiful and in great shape. She did not interact very much with the audience (the ususal interact on the rest of the concerts). She said she was very happy to be in Mexico again, and excited to start the Latin American leg of the tour in Mexico.
The requested song that night was 'Deeper And Deeper' which she refused to sing when the audience did not went wild about it. She said to the one who requested it: 'Next time chose a song everybody likes okay? Go home!' Then somebody else requested 'Sorry' and she was happy to sing it.

From Homero:
This is the Madonna concert in Mexico Saturday November 29, is the most perfect show I've seen in my life and the entire audience of the Foro Sol was excited before the Queen of Pop, an unforgettable experience for the Mexicans, thanks Madonna!

From Rocio:
After 15 years of waiting for Madonna I think it was worth the wait....the show was awesome and I couldn’t be more excited! Me and my friends were screaming and jumping and dancing the whole concert. It’s a shame though that not all of the people that went was a huge fan of Madonna because some were just staring and were not very interactive with her but overall in the upbeat songs you could see the crowd jumping.
So, I’m going to write what I remember of the show in no particular order because I remember what she said but not exactly in what song.
I think that at the end of CANDY SHOP and the beginning of BEAT GOES ON she screamed HOLA MEXICO and everyone went wild as you can expect because she said it the way is supposed to be pronounced. In SHE’S NOT ME I don’t know if she does this in every concert or not but she kissed the LIKE A VIRGIN Madonna in the mouth and everyone went wild again! Then in the beginning of the GYPSY SECTION I think she said that she wanted to take some time to thank the Mexican crowd for being there and that it was a great way to start her Latin American shows. She said more things but I really can’t remember all of them sorry :S
In the request part of the show she asked a guy from the audience what song would he like to hear and the guy said DEEPER AND DEEPER, Madonna replied with a NO I DON’T THINK SO and asked the crowd if they wanted that song and everyone said NOOOO! Then she asked another guy in the audience and he said SORRY and she started to sing it, at the end she said LEO WINS ISRAEL LOSES (referring to the guys who requested the songs) and then 'SORRY ISRAEL NEXT TIME PICK A SONG EVERYBODY LIKES' it was really funny!
I can’t remember in which song but she said something encouraging people to dance since it was the first time in 15 years that she was in Mexico and that it will probably be the last and asking to show her some love since she doesn’t go there everyday, it was funny too!
Next day all the media was raving her performance and that she without a doubt was still the Queen, It really was MADONNAMANIA. The newspapers showed pictures of Lola and Rocco outside the Frida Kahlo Museum reporting that the more enthusiastic to be there was Lola who even bought Madonna a Frida Kahlo bag and that the guides of the museum handed them a leaflet of the Mexican tradition of the DIA DE LOS MUERTOS. They also went to the Teotihuacan archeological ruins.
Oh I forgot to say that Paul Oakenfold was the opening act.
I hope more Mexican fans that went to the shows write something with the things that I forgot because I just realized I have bad memory LOL!

From Sheila:
I flew from Monterrey MX just for the show and there were people from all over the country. I got great seats, 10 rows away from the stage and 10 seats away from the catwalk. I cannot begin to tell you how amazingly overwhelmed I felt to just be there. It didn't hit me until I saw her and then it was just magic. She was awesome, words can't describe, her energy on stage is incredible, the production of the show, the dancers the music, all was just so good.
Madonna said pretty nice words to her Mexican fans, like she was glad to be back after so long (15 years!) and that it was a great way to start her Latin American leg of the tour.
My favorite part though was when the time came for the song request, Madonna asked a guy for his name and he answered 'Israel', I guess she didn't believe him 'cause she asked him if that was his real name (Israel is a very popular name in Mexico), anyway, the guy requested Deeper and Deeper, and she asked the crowd if we were okay with that to which everybody yelled No! mixed with several songs names.
So she asked to another boy for his name and he answered Leon! her reply was 'This is getting interesting!' Everybody started laughing including her. This last guy asked for Sorry and people went wild so she sang it. At the end she told Israel 'be smart next time and pick a song everybody likes'. Best show ever! I can't wait to see her again!

Sunday 30 November - Foro Sol, Mexico City

From Eugenio:
At both concerts in Mexico, many Mexican celebrities attended to both shows. Some of the most known are Alejandra Guzman, Lucero, Benny, Sasha Sokol, Rebeca de Alba, Mimi (Flans), Monserrat Oliver, Barbara Coppel and Manuel Mijares.

From Gabo:
Sunday Nov 30th was quite a bit different concert. Colder night. Madonna had a few sound problems on the Candy Shop and Beat Goes On, for a few moments her voice couldn’t be heard at all, but she continued the show like nothing had happened! Her voice sounded kind of tired I think because of the 2,235 meters above the level of the sea location of the city.
She interacted more with the audience than the previous night. She encouraged more the audience. Everytime she refered to Mexico the audience went wild. At the beginning of Miles Away she said in Spanish: Mexico, te gusta? (Mexico you like it?) The audience responded with a big scream of yes! And she said again in spanish: Mucho? (How much?) And the audience went even wilder (if possible).
The requested song was 'Sexyback' (!) she only said: 'Fuck you!' and turned around, next song requested was 'Hollywood' to which she said: 'Hollywood? I’m not going to sing that....' At last somebody requested 'Express Yourself' she finally agreed. Oh my god it was amazing listening a 57,000 crew + Madonna singing 'Express Yourself' acapella! The finest moment of the concert!

From Rich:
The show was incredible, full of people, full of energy, the crowd was full of actors, actresses, singers even football players, was amazing night.
The crowd went wild during LIKE A PRAYER and she was in a incredible good mood, even when she was out of air (Mexico City height 1.984.375 km) and she did her best! Jumping arround, screaming, was a incredible show after 15 years.
MEXICO deserve that show, and she deserve the love of the Mexican people, she IS the only one QUEEN OF POP!
VIVA LA REINA
VIVA MADONNA
