Saturday 30 August - Dübendorf Military Airfield, Zurich

From Felicity:
I was front row. It was absolutely INSANE! She was amazing. And when we arrived in the stadium she was already on stage and we got to see the soundcheck. OH MY GOD! I thought it was a Madonna mirage from being in the sun too long. And she was in such a good mood. Really friendly and warm, so we knew we were in for a good show.
THEN the Swiss Army Air Force did a flight show for us. I MEAN UNBELIEVABLE! They even did a heart in the sky for us and had glitter coming out of the planes as the finale (although I think it was actually fireworks, but it looked like glitter!) - it was so moving!

From Paolo:
Okay, I got everything; Evian spray, Gatorade, something’s to eat, Sun cream, IPod, K-way jacket. Did I forget something else? Oooopppsss, the ticket! Well, now I could start my adventure!
Take into account that I live in Switzerland and that even in Switzerland the air that you breathe is perfectly organized so it was not a surprise to see how perfectly the organisation was done by the city of Zürich and Dübendorf (were the concert was held).
I arrived in Dübendorf around 10:00am, the first fans were quietly sitting in front of the entrance of the Dübendorf military airport, only around 100 persons.
A curious thing that impressed me a little it was to see not only young fans but an incredible mixture of different ages, everybody with one only objective, enjoy the concert, having fun and of course to see Madonna!
The waiting time runs quite fast and at 04:00pm the first part of the entrance stadium was opened to the Fans, the speakers placed around us continue the transmit an advisory message to stay quiet, drink water, no running, and so on. A local radio DJ between an advisory message and some Madonna songs informed us that she will arrive around 05:00pm for the sound check, the excitement grew again when we heard Madonna singing 'Devil Wouldn't Recognize You'.
If for a certain moment all the people are quietly sit on the floor it’s enough that just one person makes a strange jump and everybody 'jumps' with him; this results in just few seconds everybody was up front of the entrance....pushing and screaming, fortunately I’m not subject to panic attack, as every good Madonna fan know, the waiting times are sometimes are very long and much more harder.
I’m front of the entrance, the sun burning, it’s hot and I’m totally sweat like a pig; front of me the security guys tries to maintain the calm but it’s not easy. Surprisingly I see myself to run like I’d never run before, the stage it’s too far but I want to stay front!
I run faster and faster again I heard the strong beating of my heart....God, I have to stop to smoke. Finally, incredibly I’m front of the stage! Madonna looks around and probably she’s also surprised to se around 30,000 persons arrive like an herd of crazy cows during the sound check! In fact the radio DJ say’s that we can entry after the soundcheck, not before....anyway!
Madonna was impressed but in the meantime she professionally continue the check, she sing Miles Away, Candy Shop, Into The Groove and Borderline, during the check she talk with us and she said that we might have to pay a double ticket because we have seen a 'double' concert! She looks smiley, concentrating and happy....the time to define some last details with the dancers, another song and she disappear till 09015pm were the show really begins!
It was an unforgettable day, from my first concert saw in 1990 till today the excitement and all the emotionally feelings are the same! Thanks to everyone from Madonna to all the fans that I meet in past years, thanks for everything!
